ACCESS & PERMISSIONS
How access to school and pupil data is controlled in Sports I: least privilege, role-based permissions and strict per-school isolation.
| Role | Access |
|---|---|
| Organisation Admin | Full administration of the organisation's account, schools, users and billing. |
| Headteacher | School-wide dashboards, reporting and evidence review; no routine data entry. |
| PE Lead | Full PE data for their school: curriculum, assessments, evidence, clubs and reports. |
| Teacher | Their assigned classes: planning, assessment entry, evidence capture and registers. |
| Coach | Sessions, groups and evidence for the groups they are assigned to deliver. |
| Teaching Assistant | Support-level access for assigned classes and groups. |
| Viewer | Read-only reporting access, where a school enables it for governors or leadership. |
| Parent | Only their own linked child's information, and only where the school enables the Parent Portal. |
| Pupil | Only where a school explicitly enables pupil-facing features. |
Least privilege
Users are granted the minimum access needed for their role. A teacher sees their own classes — not the whole school. Parent and pupil access are off unless a school deliberately enables them.
School isolation
Every school record is tagged to its school, and access checks enforce this tenant boundary: a user in School A can never view, edit or export School B's pupils, reports or evidence — even with a direct link. Multi-school organisations only see the schools assigned to their organisation.
Admin control
School admins manage their own users and roles: invite staff, change roles and suspend or remove access immediately when staff leave. UK PE Group never grants school access without the school's instruction.
